A repetitive experimental animated short, freely based on segments of the Serge Gainsbourg’s song.

Shot in 35mm directly under the animation camera, Variations sur Marilou is a meditative glance at desire, weakness and attraction. It was made during a artist-in-residency program in France and gives particular attention on the movements of the bodies, their presence in space and the traces that their movements leave in the frame.
